photo credit: Iqra Shoukat I am in love with this picture! My sister took it. These apples are from turkey and so is the picture. It shows two of the most blissful things in the world. The color green and refreshing water droplets. Just look at that beautiful color! Summers in Karachi are excruciatingly hot ,dry and so brown – I miss green. It’s a blessing – serenity for exhausted eyes and extreme relaxation for an exhausted soul. And ahhh cold water! Fresh cold water! washes away the city’s humidity and dirt off you leaving you all clean, refreshed and energized. Imagine if one day you had to go without water in this humid hot season how icky would you feel? So today I am thanking God for Water & for the color green :)Cause even though we don’t always realize it these little bounties make life more bearable and comforting. "Green how I want you green. Green wind. Green branches."
Federico García Lorca, Spanish Poet and Playwright, 1898-1936, "Romance Sonámbulo" If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water. LORAN EISELY, The Immense Journey, 1957 from my little cuddly baby, you are fast transforming into a little person, a lady who has her own prefrences, mood swings, tantrums and ever so adorable way of determination :) and i love every bit of you....
which makes me think about the circle of life - how we all bring more or less the same amount of happiness as children to our parents and how we tend to ignore the same most important people of our lives during our independent phase - that is the circle of life..the way we all are! When i see your mamo playing with you, the love that i see in his eyes is breathtaking , its the same love i had in my eyes when he was your age and now he is his own person, a young man with his own heart and mind with his own preferences and opinions :) but i am glad and thankful that i was part of his life, i will always be a part of him in some way or another just like he will always be some part of you :) this song has such a sweet feeling...feeling of extreme delight when something makes u giddy and u feel like floating in air or perhaps walking on the moon! its a perfect way to start the weekend :)
What I love the most about internet is that you often come across people who do stuff and talk about things that once made way through your own mind – ideas that often made you believe that may be you’ve lost your brains. But then every once in a while you stumble upon links, sites and articles that speak your heart out and you think to yourself , so I am not that crazy after all! And it often gives you the courage to pursue your thoughts and hope that someday someone like you will stumble upon your work and be motivated. When I look at my toddler I am reminded how children have the liberty to do whatever whenever they desire, something that we need to/have to give up as we grow old - like today she decided she wanted to dress up in her fairy princess dress with glittery white shoes at 7 am in the morning – this is when I was trying to get ready for work but well who was I to object – her wish is my command :)
Spring spring spring….ahhh so beautiful so perfect - the slight chill in the air, mornings so fresh, so clean, so crisp, light shower, pleasant breeze, vibrant colorful flowers – thank god for my senses, thank god for good health, that god for this feeling, thank god for spring!! "No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow" "It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade" Charles Dickens |
